Growing up on the west coast, I never knew how amazing east coast beaches could be until the Jensens introduced me to South Carolina!
For winter break, my in-laws decided to take us all to Hilton Head, South Carolina. We hadn’t all taken pictures together since Jake and I got married over two years ago, so I decided to seize the opportunity to refresh our family pictures.
Using the limited selection of clothes we had all brought on our vacation, we worked together to create a palette that made sense. It was so fun pulling out everyone’s clothes and laying out different combinations on the hotel bed to figure out what we’d all be wearing!
We rushed down to the beach and I propped the camera up on a stool stacked on top of a wooden box we found on the beach to create a makeshift tripod. For the group pictures I set my camera on a timer and rushed back and forth between the camera and the family. We got some good laughs as I ran between the two 😀
Once we captured a few group shots, the light was toooo perfect not to capture a few individual shots as well. We had a total blast and that beach lighting just totally took the cake.
What a fan-flippin-tastic family! I feel so lucky to have these people as my in-laws!
